I know how this must sound to you but it's just the way that it works. You will need to have at least six months of experience if you want to get a job that holds the title of Java Associate. I know that taking the java certification training and passing the exam should be enough, but unfortunately it is not. A company wants to see that you have actual working knowledge and not just the book smarts. There are many people who can memorize nearly anything but don't contain the ability to put them to work for them.
